alice in wonderland

Yellow floating bubble dress (worn as skirt) by Yako Reyes (The Vatican, Podium)

For some reason, felt like Alice in this yellow and black pair. The bubble effect, paisley print of the dress gives a whimsical, nostalgic sense which catapults you back to younger and playful times.

Pd & Co. (Paperdolls & Co.)- black cropped blazer

Black maillot top from Eastwood Mall which I purchased 2 years ago for Lightwater brand activation in Boracay. I thought I paid a hefty amount for this piece. 2 years and it's still as good as new. Served as my constant fashion go-to. Dive in it or simply sashay on vintage cobblestones in style paired with rugged white shorts or maxi skirts.

acid lemon

This is what I wore to my job interview.

Haha. Nah, I didn't wear just that. I also had a gilet on and buttoned ;) What's fab about fashion job interviews is that you get away with traditional corporate and infuse bold fashion statements. Of course, as with everything, you gotta know where to draw the line. Confidence plus credible fashion is key.

For this affair, I zero-ed in on my acid lemon peep-toe wedge shoes. Yes, it's fluo slash bright slash screaming... And did i say, it's fluo?!... That's why I love it! :)

Primadonna- fluo peep-toe shoes

Pencil-cut skirts are reliable office wears. I updated this piece with a sequined bandeau top and a gilet. I opted for basic and monotoned pieces to make sure they don't clash with my fluo wedges.

After a hard day's work, transform this industrial ensemble into a night-outer by slipping off gilet. Midriff tops are perfect paired with high-waist below-the-knee pencil-cuts, flashing just the right amount of skin. When wearing any piece that calls for a bit show of skin, I make it a point to grab a not-so-revealing item to pair with.

hey, i heard you are the wild one

While swarming through racks filled with the season's trends, I can't help but feel overwhelmed with so many pretty and interesting details to try on. But after meticulously scanning and getting acquainted with each clever innovation, I find myself ending up buying a lesser trendy piece or a much staple item. My fashion principle-- when you can, don't get preoccupied with the trend while it's hot. Either, you start the trend or revert to it once the commotion has died down, resurrecting it with sauve.

So, i ended up with a classic lbd. The moment I got hold of this lbd, I instantly mentally assigned it to my 'must-have' basket.3 reasons: keyholes, peplum, and lbd.

Keyhole necklines are a fresh cut to get steering away from your regular low v-necks. Notwithstanding, keyholes, equally (if not better), spells sophisticated-sexy.

Peplums. Peplums are a great waist-cincher. Reminded me of Charlotte of Sex in the City, and Blaire of Gossip Girl.

Backless keyhole. Need I say more?
